Zante (Zakynthos) Subjects to
Zante, or Zakynthos as it is also known, is a tiny island in the Ionian sea with a massive draw. According to Greek mythology, the island was discovered by the son of King Dardanus of Troy, who landed there with his fleet and built an Acropolis. Now the island is popular with Greek island hoppers, young people looking to party, couples searching for an idyllic hideaway and families in search of fun activities and unlimited sunshine. One of the most famous beaches in Greece can be found here - no trip to Zante would be complete without a boat ride to secluded Smuggler's cove, nestled between steep white cliffs, to see the rusty shipwreck beached on the pearl white sands. Another must is a visit to the Blue Caves on the northern coast to see the turquoise waters lapping against the eroded alcoves of the pale rocks. Zante is a paradise for walking, cycling, scuba diving and snorkelling - you can even swim with the loggerhead turtles - a protected species on the island. We offer flights to Zante with a wide range of accommodation to the popular holiday resorts of Laganas, Tsilivi and Argassi.
