Bugibba/Qawra Subjects to - The immensely popular area around St. Paul's Bay is relaxing, laid back and easy going with a good variety of nightlife. Malta resorts of Qawra and Bugibba lie side by side like conjoined twins in the east of St.Paul's Bay.
A pretty and atmospheric old harbour with the requisite jostling fishing boats gaily painted in primary colours adds a low key and nice local "feel" to the area. Both Bugibba and Qawra enjoy the sheltered waters that are perfect for bathing and all manner of watersports with several lidos providing platforms for diving close to the flat rocks on the shore.
The two towns have developed well and a long promenade, lined with a great variety of restaurants, lively bars and cafes make the seafront a bustling venue when the sun goes down. An evening stroll with the sea virtually lapping at one's feet is the perfect antidote to stressful days of sunbathing or sightseeing!
Nightlife is pretty varied and there are casinos, bars, nightclubs, music bars and discos, so plenty to keep toes tapping! Shopping in Bugibba is great - there are lots of little streets with local and tourist shops where you can potter around and pick up pretty souvenirs.
